Sugar Free Coaching
Welcome to Living Sugar Free. It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle.

By: Andréa Raquel | May 14, 2014

Try #LivingSugarFree from non-essentials one day a week. Start with the thing you think you can't give up (coffee addicts, this means go a whole day without and be nice anyhow, just as you would expect a crack addict to do). *Air, water, nutrition, and love (expressed not received) are essential.    image

Just because it's legal and/or prescribed or over the counter, doesn't mean you're not addicted or that it's "good for you." Don't let legislation, or lack there of control your wellness.

***Disclaimer: Obviously if you are under Dr's care, you should consult them 1st... but if yr addicted to what they prescribed and not getting better, you may want to get a second opinion. #JustSayin

Let's discuss it.

Because as I wrote in a recent blog post, family values are key to leadership. How you live is an example to the people you lead, there's no way around it. Even if you lead a very private life, your personal happiness will affect your productivity, management style, company culture, and etc. Folks need help! It’s been amazing working with Bruce Starr, The Luvcoach and all of you single and married folks who are interested in BodyTrader's Academy and the Open Hearts Movement. If you've got a family, be grateful and do right by them. No matter how your family unit is designed let it be a loving example to the world starting with you.

Don't chase $$ claiming it's all for them. Then ignore the why, by working yourself to death or neglecting family. You've got a team and you can't nurture it by throwing money at it.

Set an example of integrity and discipline your kids. Inspire your family to influence your community. Don't make excuses for them or encourage a "me and mine attitude." Don't blame others for their wrong and by all means teach them to take responsibility for their own choices and mistakes.

There's a not so fine line between being nice and being naive when making decisions about your friends, partners and social circles.
Birds Of A Feather
Some folks deceive themselves into thinking that they are being nice when they carry on with relationships that are unfruitful and unproductive. But when you refuse to walk away from someone that you know lacks integrity, is cruel or manipulative it is because you fear the possibility of being alone.
Sadly when you chose to be influenced by people who don't treat you well, their bad behavior rubs off and you begin to adopt their habits and ways of treating others. In addition, you likely sabotage potential quality friendships by putting pressure on ...

#LivingSugarFree of Complainers: Don't be deceived by spirits of discontent, strife, and bitterness. Have you ever made the mistake of trying to break up a fight between two angry lovers? You probably still have the physical and/oremotional scars to remind you. The same thing happens when you get between God and his ungrateful children. You know the ones, no matter how things change or improve, if it's not their way, they are not happy. People need to learn their own lessons... When you get in the way you become their scapegoat; helping them avoid the actual lesson. My advice:
  1. Let complainers complain.
  2. Don't offer advice, or solutions unless they ask...
  3. And if you value your peace, by all means don't point out their misery.
If...

As the old folks used to say,
A hit dog will holler.
You can stop sending hate mail now... I did not say coffee is bad! I didn't say don't drink it. I am not a fan, but I may have a cup every blue moon. Black coffee is great for congestion and mocha latte is my sweet cheat. Coffee is not the devil. What I said was if you're a coach, therapist, advisor, whatever type of leader who is in the business of telling people how to live better... maybe stop telling the world you can't function without coffee while telling others how to be positive, eat right, be successful, healthy, get a job, an education or let go of addiction or any other problems. You can't teach what you don't know. Apparently you don't know how to function without co...

Having a thick skin can get you only so far. The next step up is living in the experience. Only then can you learn, grow and help others. So are you ready to love your enemies? No, I mean really love them... Let's start with the easy ones. People you have no real beef with, we call those haters right? The folks who give you the cold shoulder, talk about you or intentionaly create obsacles even though you have no idea why. News flash: haters are good for the ego, but that does not apply if you hate back. Hate in and of itself comes from fear and how can fear be good for your ego? Think about it... There is no valid reason for a person to decide they don't like you because of your style, personality, physical appearance, the way you talk, ...

Do you trust Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and other fallible media when you post content online? Do you waste time reposting and fixing because of regular yet inconsistent glitches? Here's the solution: Get HootSuite, Buffer or other good scheduling app and post everywhere at once. Then repeat on a schedule. I know folks complain about seeing cross platform posts. My answer to that? Who cares! I hate commercials, but it hasn't stopped anyone from making them, playing them over and over, or making the volume higher so they scream at me. I hate 'Drunken Love' but it hasn't stopped the radio stations from repeatedly bombarding me with it at the same time. Post consistently and across multiple platforms to get your message seen or it will get bu...

Have you seen that commercial where the lady is lugging her depreasion around, even after medication. Then they suggest she needs a second medicine to really control it. Seriously? I think it's time to admit, the medication may not be working. image Low self-esteem is a sign of self centeredness and deception. Not in all cases, but in many situations people are caught up in their own problems, with no time or care for those around them. Then they wonder why they feel alienated. If you only go around people when you need something, never accept invitations to spend time, and only call to complain; the person you're dumping on and pulling from will eventually follow the advice they are probably giving to you. To surround themselves with people wh...

Yep, I said it, and before you say Amen, I'm probably talking to you too... Stereotypes about women, lies about history and biology, blatant porn, jokes on nationalities, racial remarks about the POTUS or anyone, oh and passive aggressive folks who get an attitude and say all manner of nastiness when anyone has the audacity to point it out... Or worse you got an attitude and said outloud you don't see why we need Black History Month. As long as you don't say the n word you're good right? Wrong!!! image Somedia is out of control, but who's leading the way????? If you really want to make a difference, click the link and keep reading... Let's discuss it.

By: Andréa Raquel | February 16, 2014

If you believe that everyone should embrace their weirdness, don't accept limitations, stand up for what's good and true, and only focus on the positive... How come so many of you spend so much time downplaying or flat out insulting those who are different? Then trying to get me and other people to tone it down, don't ask too many questions, don't set the record straight, don't take it personal when cultural lies are perpetuated, or point out when even you have said something totally offensive or untrue? Freedom of speach was meant to protect us and the truth; not to be an aid to bullying, prejudice and discrimination. Not guilty? Well did you tell your click that they were being bullies when they did it or just watch? I've only seen one ...

I'm not saying if you're single you shouldn't find interest and attractions in your online circles. Social media mimicks social networking in real life. So it's a given that there will be more than a few love connections taking place, even outside of dating sites. What I'm suggesting is that online, perhaps even more than offline, you should consider etiquette, chivalry and good manners because you don't have the benefit of in person magnetism. Here's a list of things that annoy me with guys who attempt to court me after meeting me online. image 1. I don't know you, and haven't looked you in the eye, so don't say "trust me." 2. Don't ask me to send you pictures, you can look at me all day on any given profile. 3. Don't stalk my p...

#CleanHouse Wondering why everyone is asking you to add their business page to your newsfeed? I hope you will add mine after reading this.

We've discovered that even if you like your best friend's Facebook Page page, you may never see their posts. Sometimes even a search comes up empty. That's Facebook maintaining their shareholder value.

They have their agenda, but you do have options. Take control of your information and communication by managing your newsfeeds.

When you joined Facebook and most other social sites you may have had a few familiar faces to follow, but more than likely you filled your newsfeed with all familiar brands. Well now with the paid Marketing features, that's all you see.

Take control, support family...
