I recently shared that Crowdfire might be in trouble with Twitter (see the previous blog or tweet link below)...
Is Crowdfire in Twitter Jail? http://www.sugarfreecoaching.com/blogs/post/Is-Crowdfire-in-Twitter-Jail
Read the updated info I received over the weekend below that explains the catch and why you will never get your old Crowdfire or Unfollowers.Me features back. But here's the gist. Crowdfire didn't do anything wrong. Apparently they weren't the only ones and although they've gotten their API privileges back so you can share content to Twitter in the app again You will never again be able to manage your followers and unfollow inactive or non followers again via an outside app.
Sneaky sneaky on Twitter's part considering these apps have kept the site afloat for years, and considering they purchased one of the apps, Crowdfire, so essentially they're getting rid of the competition I also have noticed they've made it slightly eaier5to see who's following you and who's not within the Twitter app. It used to be impossible and therefore unmanageable.. Many users would have jumped ship long ago if not for the likes of Crowdfire and other Twitter Tools.
Anywho, they provide some great content so I will continue to use Crowdfire and in my opinion Zoho Social puts Tweetdeck to shame so I will never give in to their trick of trying to make everyone use Twitter Tools to manage their Twitter account.
Welcome back Crowdfire... Until Twitter finds another way to such you down. My best advise for this app and all others who based their brand on Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus and etc, find another business model and remain relevant as these sites scramble to do the same while holding on to every possible dollar that can be made off their service.
It was a looooong email, and to their credit they took it on the chin...
