#Integrity #Trust #SocialCollaboration I could care less if you follow me on Twitter or LIKE my fanpage. I do however appreciate all of my genuine friends, followers and fans. I also care very much about representing and sharing quality, informative, enlightening and fun content. With that said, I am neither obligated nor paid to share any person or brand. If you choose to unfollow or unlike because I'm not your flavor of the month, that's fine. But if you can't handle the fact that I am #LivingSugarFree or you choose to fake the Twitter game at my expense, that's another story. Haters and fakers should always avoid #TXNL, The Social Entrepreneur, and anything to do with me. You will be found out and maybe even called out. In a world of c...

#LivingSugarFree #Execute #CustomerService If you are over the age of 25, you probably agree that CS has gone to the dogs, actually that would be an improvement... anywho, my point is: In the name of getting things done, being productive, positively impacting others, spreading peace and the elimination of bullying and environmental pollution... The million dollar question is... How much time do you spend complaining about bad service rather than coaching the person serving you through the process to get what you need done? Many hourly employees today don't understand the classic customer concepts:
Give 'em the pickle.
or
Never say no.
or
The customer is always right. I can help with understanding teamwork concepts. I can help with understanding teamwork concepts.
None of these quot...

Do your research and be creative when you are ready to launch your brand. Don't try to ride on existing traffic, influence and people who are using generic concepts. Lawsuits are rampant and it shows a lack of integrity, ingenuity and true social entrepreneurship to try and sue an individual or business for using a term that is owned by the public... Especially when it's obvious that people were using that term long before you decided to jump into the world of business. It makes you look inexperienced and desperate. I would not trust my business to a company that does that, would you? We've been using this term since I can remember. I'm sure I can find older references, but this is the one that popped up first.
We all know that many of ...

I was going to comment on this article, but then I realized I had too much to say... I studied Marketing in undergraduate school and am now studying Psychology. The article is very informative and accurate; however it is limiting. Marketing is only one aspect of business and Social Media is only one aspect of Marketing. A good business strategy must include these elements and many others, working together to achieve the mission and vision of the business. The bottom line is not achieved only by one division but by them all collaborating and sharing information and resources. I have seen and heard a lot of really negative conversation about the worthlessness of online reporting sites, and social media as a whole for small businesses. Trans...

Do you know the difference between driving traffic and natural attraction? Do you know why driving traffic is not an effective long term plan? As a marketing and sales student, employee and senior manager, for years I had to look at the numbers, drive results and generate sales. As The Social Entrepreneur, I have chosen to take a different route. I have built a network, grown a brand and sustained a business by attracting my ideal client, inspiring productivity and natural attraction. My company generates 19+ pages of search engine results with 1.3% errors. Do I have everything I want? No; but be sure that I have also learned to be at piece with each level. This is the only way to be faithful to your brand and vision. If not you will be t...

Am I the only one who knows that Orsiso was first in the circles game not Google or Facebook? Don't remember Orsiso? Click the link to read about the awesome social circle app and it's founder Thorben Linneberg.
http://sgentrepreneurs.com/interviews/2009/04/09/in-conversations-with-thorben-linneberg-orsiso-aureliant/.

A few days ago I posted a random question across the web, wondering why Orsiso was no longer available, who bought it and if anyone else thought Google had copied. I was shocked and honored to receive a response this morning from Thorben, Orsisos founder and CEO, with the link. Today, Orsiso announced it has been aquired by SingTel. Congratulations Orsiso, Thorbin...and especially Google for not getting sued. Click the follow...

You've learned some great skills, tips, and tricks to navigating Social Media; but sometimes you might get carried away. Here's a great tip to add to your arsenal. Cool sites come and go, pick a few solid ones and post across sites to reach a larger network. But make your content real and relevant. This will require a bit of transparency, as no one wants to only read about one aspect of your life (i.e. only foursquare check-ins, Facebook posts or game results). Include a bit of business, social, travel, education, and fun; also mix text, links, video and photos. But again don't over do it. Posting every step in your schedule, every travel plan and every detail of your life is unsafe and boring. Check your compiled social profile on Klout o...

Are you a thought leader, specialist, or feeder? If you don't read, listen, engage, like and RT then you're just having conversation with yourself. How do you know what folks want if you don't listen, and ask questions?

I'm amazed when I review some "expert" profiles and see no engagement or reciprocation. It won't last. Sites like Klout.com, Google+, EmpireAvenue.com are leveling the playing field. It's no longer just about mailing lists, spam, followers and slick SEO. You must be valuable to your target audience. This requires market research which requires listening before selling.

I’ve been told I’m all over the place and too busy so much that I decided to change it. Or at least the perception of it. I don’t think I am too busy or at least I didn’t before recently. After a series of unfortunate events that eliminated any windows of down time and relaxation, I realized I had no time for mishaps which are inevitable.

Even though I didn’t feel like I was too busy I knew I needed to "downsize and restructure" so I illuminated a line of responsibility. Ha, ha, ha, but the next day another line of responsibility was taken away. I cursed, I cried, I laughed, two tears in a bucket...now I really have a lot of time to focus!

I asked myself and now I’m asking you: Are you going to cry over spilled milk, or kick th...

It's funny to me when someone asks me how I got so many followers on Twitter. Of course "so many" is relative, considering some tweeters have over a million followers. To me I have a lot of followers considering I have focused on quality over quantity connections on Twitter. I don't follow everyone back, therefore I lose two for every one follower I get daily. I look for interesting qualities and activity when following back peeps that I don't know or haven't met in person. But I digress...the question was how did I get so many followers? When I am asked this question I look at their Twitter profile to see if there is anything specific I can advise and I notice that the person who asked is not following me back. The first rule o...
