Do you trust Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and other fallible media when you post content online? Do you waste time reposting and fixing because of regular yet inconsistent glitches? Here's the solution: Get HootSuite, Buffer or other good scheduling app and post everywhere at once. Then repeat on a schedule. I know folks complain about seeing cross platform posts. My answer to that? Who cares! I hate commercials, but it hasn't stopped anyone from making them, playing them over and over, or making the volume higher so they scream at me. I hate 'Drunken Love' but it hasn't stopped the radio stations from repeatedly bombarding me with it at the same time. Post consistently and across multiple platforms to get your message seen or it will get bu...

#CleanHouse Wondering why everyone is asking you to add their business page to your newsfeed? I hope you will add mine after reading this.

We've discovered that even if you like your best friend's Facebook Page page, you may never see their posts. Sometimes even a search comes up empty. That's Facebook maintaining their shareholder value.

They have their agenda, but you do have options. Take control of your information and communication by managing your newsfeeds.

When you joined Facebook and most other social sites you may have had a few familiar faces to follow, but more than likely you filled your newsfeed with all familiar brands. Well now with the paid Marketing features, that's all you see.

Take control, support family...

I thought it would be funny. Silence, the sound of not hearing my opinion, getting shout outs or feeling the #LivingSugarFree love oozing from the other side of the world (as in before the Internet).

I was 35 in 2007 when I set out to build a brand online. Before that I had only done desktop publishing, worked with company clouds and communicated with tech savvy friends via chat. Bankers were not encouraged to use the Internet for business beyond research. Even as an Army Public Affairs Specialist my work was within only the Intranet.

Now a simple light hearted post has turned into a blog. Because as a researcher I had to document the experience. I make a point of not having a mobile phone surgically attached to me, so I am perhap...

Hmmm... is the FB LIKE button issue an experiment? Ain't nobody got time for that or making them the topic of my social stream, so I'll just use other media today. Poof! Technology doesn't define me either. See ya around the net. I will be using Trust Cloud, Connect.me, LinkedIn, Empire Avenue, G+, and even Klout to show love to my network and influencers this week for their great content and engagement. There are always multiple ways to work around technology. It is to be a tool for convenience not to dictate my schedule or engagement.

Let’s discuss it. Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

2017 UPDATE: [We now have love, wow, sad, and angry added to the like button. So I guess we were in an experimental phase...

How To Handle Social Media Suspension If you find yourself suspended on some social media website, consider these tips via Andrea Raquel, @SugarFreeCoach, Atlanta Social Media Examiner on Examiner.com

I caught this recent Mashable article about Klout on Twitter "How to Improve Your Klout Score — and Why You Should Bother" image News flash: Being mindful of your influence is not the same as being mindful of a an external score. There are multiple ways to determine quality influence. In the old days we just did surveys... oh wait, there's an app for that. If all you care about is numbers... and you don't really care what your audience is gaining from you,  or who is growing, surviving and touching others because of you, I can't help you. How do I know the scores and the websites they are based on are flawed? Because I'm a researcher and I pay attention and get to the heart of a matter without being emotional. I watch, I as...

#LivingSugarFree #TXNL #Marketing101 Before you read the rest of this, you should have done a few things. If not, that's the hard stuff you can pay me to help you fix. Here is the duh of being a good brand: Sell what you believe. Be transparent Live your brand Put your opinions behind your marketing. A bird in the hand is not worth two in the bush. If you disagree, you probably can't afford my rate, so don't judge value based on cost. Working for skills, collaboration, promotion and/or a good cause is not the same as working for free. I always go above and beyond, so what's a  paycheck? If you don't get this, I'm not likely to work for you anyway... My point is, when you get caught up, your brand and therefore your profits get he...

A Good Day To XeeMe | It's their 2 year anniversary Happy Birthday XeeMe. My XeeMe love story started October 30, 2011. I'm pretty sure I found it through my friends on Empire Avenue. I've began using XeeMe as a signature, a business card, a QR code, a catalogue, an index, and even a Twitter tool. In honor of XeeMe's 2nd year I have written a brief overview of how I use my profile and the clever name. "Oh no, not another social network!" This is a sentiment heard most often whenever a new  social media site launches or when people hear about another must have website. I've felt this way a time or two myself. But not since I discovered XeeMe, an online profile manager that allows you to organize all of your important l...

If you have a business, this article is a must read. If you don't have a business, this article is a must read. People are much more in control of their environment, career, life, etc. when they are fully literate. Yes I know you can read and write; but are you fully literate?
Does social media affect the value of relationships; the ability to trust an individual or organization; and the overall flow of currency in an economy?

Girls Run Super Bowl XLVII

Did women, take over the Super Bowl last night? ...America The Beautiful, National Anthem and Super Bowl Halftime show all being belted by African American females. There was not a dry eye in the place as Jennifer Hudson and Alicia Keys touched the nation.

Although Beyoncé didn't perform 'We Run The World (Girls)', it was implied in her performance and she owned it. See my article at Examiner.com for more about the halftime show and other highlights of Game Day 2013 including the mysterious blackout...

Do your research and be creative when you are ready to launch your brand. Don't try to ride on existing traffic, influence and people who are using generic concepts. Lawsuits are rampant and it shows a lack of integrity, ingenuity and true social entrepreneurship to try and sue an individual or business for using a term that is owned by the public... Especially when it's obvious that people were using that term long before you decided to jump into the world of business. It makes you look inexperienced and desperate. I would not trust my business to a company that does that, would you? We've been using this term since I can remember. I'm sure I can find older references, but this is the one that popped up first.
We all know that many of ...

You may have stumbled here or you got my invite, but either way thanks for stopping by. I have a few things to share that I want you to be aware of. I am completely finished writing and editing Living Sugar Free, whew!!! I can't wait for you to read it and if you are a member of my network you may even get a free copy when it's out. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you will want to do a little research and join the network. Here are a few groups that are active and available to you on Facebook. There is nothing to buy, or do unless you want to. You may join a group because you need support or because you would like to offer support in your area. Maybe you are trying to grow a brand and looking for like minded people; you may be...
